Junior Inventor Competition

Following the success of our Junior Baker competition, this summer we are running an exciting drawing competition to give your child the chance to design a BRAND NEW limited edition patisserie product for the opportunity to WIN an Afternoon Tea experience!

Whether your child is partial to a cupcake, a pastry or a gateau slice, the sky is the limit! They can let their imagination and creativity run wild!

How to enter:
All they have to do is:
1. Visit us in store and ask your server for a Junior Inventor competition sheet and crayons.
2. Draw a picture of their dream patisserie product.
3. Describe their product and its decorations.
4. Give their product a name.
5. Share their design with us on social media using the below links with #JuniorInventor.

Terms and Conditions: 

Junior Inventor Competition Rules
Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions, and agreed to be bound by them, when entering this Prize Draw.

• The competition runs from 30th July to 8th September 2018
• Closing date for entry is 8th September 2018

Who may Enter:
1. Entries must be under 16.

2. Employees (or family members of employees) from all brands within the Patisserie Holdings PLC group (Patisserie Valerie, Druckers, Philpotts, Baker & Spice and Flour Power City) may enter but will not be eligible to win.

3. Entries are limited to one per person, if more than one cake is submitted the first entry submitted will be deemed as the competition entry.

4. The Prizes
• The winning entrant will win Afternoon Tea at the café of their choice, and their patisserie product may be produced and sold as a limited edition (one month limited edition) product.
• The promotor reserves the right to amend and change the winning design due to production methods. The promotor reserves the right to remove the patisserie product from sale at any time. After the competition has ended all designs belong to Patisserie Holdings PLC.
Winners accept prize at own risk.
Patisserie Holdings Ltd. reserves the right to withhold prizes in the event of non-compliance with these terms and conditions.
Patisserie Holdings Ltd. accepts no liability for the prize or for any loss or damage arising from its issue.
In the case that the same patisserie product design has been created by more than one person and that design is chosen as the winner, a prize draw will take place by an independent person and a name will be selected at random.
Patisserie Valerie reserves the right to use all ideas entered into the competition as future patisserie product creations in the future.

How to Enter
5. Visit a Patisserie Valerie / Druckers store and ask our server for a Junior Inventor competition sheet and crayons.

6. Draw a picture of your dream patisserie product.

7. Tell us what ingredients are in your product.

8. Take a picture of your drawing and share it with us on our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) – making sure you use the hashtag #JuniorInventor to be entered into the competition. Please ensure you do not include your contact details from the competition sheet, in the photograph that you share with us on social media.

9. OR you can enter via our blog post by downloading our competition sheet and e-mailing the completed design to juniorbaker@patisserieholdings.co.uk with the subject line “Junior Inventor”

10. Following the closing date, a winner will be chosen by the CEO of Patisserie Holdings, the Marketing Team and the Group Production Manager.

11. The winner will be notified no later than 30th November 2018.

12. In the first instance, finalists will be notified via the contact details they have provided during the competition entry process.

13. If a finalist is not able, for any reason, to accept the prize, or cannot be contacted by the Promoter within seven (7) days of the first attempt to notify them, the Promoter then reserves the right to award the prize to another Entrant. Failure to claim a prize by the time or in the manner specified will make the claim invalid.

14. The promoter reserves the right to use cake designs and imagery submitted as part of the competition on future marketing material.

Other Terms
15. The decision of the Promoter is final and binding in all matters and correspondence shall not be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right in its reasonable discretion: (a) to add to or to waive any rules on reasonable notice; and/or (b) to cancel the competition or any part of it at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.

16. The Prize must be accepted as granted. No substitutions or cash equivalent payment will be allowed, and no refund or transfer unless the Promoter agrees otherwise in writing.

17. The winner agrees to allow the Promoter to use their name and submitted entries for advertising and publicity purposes without additional remuneration during and after this Prize Draw.

18. Personal information about Entrants will only be shared with the Promoter’s partners to the extent necessary to manage such entry and participation as an Entrant or, where required, to a legal or regulatory body. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details.

19. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

20. The Promoter claims full and unreserved copyright to all entries without exception.

21. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for network, computer, and hardware or software failure of any kind, which may affect the sending, receipt or processing of your entry.

22. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence or in respect of fraud and in so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter (including its associated companies, officers, employees and agents) exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising to entrants or otherwise as a result of the Prize Draw; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, arising in any way out of the Prize Draw, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
• a. any postponement or cancellation of the competition;
• b. any changes to prize or the way in which it can be used;
• c. any problems with the dispatch of the prize (such as prize failing to reach the intended recipient) or the subsequent enjoyment of the prize;
• d. any act or default of any third party supplier;
• e. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
• f. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
• g. any claim or entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
• h. any tax liability incurred by the entrant; or
• i. use of the reward. The Promoter (including its associated companies, officers, employees and agents) shall not be liable for any postponement, cancellation, delay, changes to the Prize Draw or failure to fulfil its obligations where such failure is caused by any event(s) outside the reasonable control of the Promoter (including without limitation the act or default of any third party supplier).

23. This Prize, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it (including the prize), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. You irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this Prize Draw (including the prize).
