Job Specification


This is an exciting role for an experienced, commercially minded, Ecommerce Manager to come on board and play a pivotal part in growing our online presence across the UK. 


The online channel has huge growth potential, and it will be part of your day to day responsibility to make sure that maximum revenue is being realised, your remit will include developing the brands presence through external retailers and online white space.


What is really important to this business is having an individual who is passionate and knowledgeable about digital. Ideally you will have held an eCommerce Account Manager role or operating in a digital agency or retailer with knowledge of how the online retailers work. The ideal candidate will be driven, focused and inquisitive with an entrepreneurial flair.


The role reports to the Group Head of Marketing and will involve:


Responsibilities & Roles:


·      Managing the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of all online products & content, including product details, images, search experience, navigation and events

·      Managing on site marketing strategies, including maximising SEO according to trends, demands and competition

·      Create relevant, original, high-quality online content to drive brand awareness and engagement.

·      Work with the Head of Marketing and wider team to develop and execute a compelling digital & e-commerce proposition – including positioning, values & tone of voice

·      Regularly analyse performance of website pages using google analytics and A B testing, working directly with the online development manager to maximise website conversions

·      Analyse all campaigns to constantly optimise and improve ROI

·      Overall responsibility for online reputation working alongside Social media manager and customer engagement manager to make sure best practice is followed.

·      Working alongside social media manager to help maximise conversions

·      Working with the customer engagement manager to maximise subscribers and conversion rate of e-marketing



Experience & Skills:


·      Experience in retail Ecommerce

·      Good excel and analytical understanding are needed to allow you to interpret insight and draw conclusions to inform future decision making

·      Highly organised and able to work on large number of different tasks at the same time, a hands-on approach is a must

·      Able to work collaboratively with teams across the business

·      Commercial and product focused

·      Market place awareness and understanding of target customer

·      Ability to spot trends and forecast

·      Some experience with Photoshop and the Adobe suite of products would be beneficial but not essential

·      Degree or CIM qualification preferred but not essential.
