Winter Collection 2019 Launches at Patisserie Valerie

OCTOBER 2019: Patisserie Valerie revealed its autumn / winter collection for 2019. Stars of the patisserie show are undoubtedly the shocking pink raspberry éclair and winter spiced cheesecake designed in collaboration with Anges de Sucre’s Reshmi Bennett. Stand-out additions to the all-day dining menu are the frosted berry French toast and what the patisserie boldly claims to be the best Croque Monsieur this side of Paris!  


One of the highlights of Patisserie Valerie’s new autumn / winter menu is the result of a new partnership with Neal’s Yard Dairy, in a search for the ultimate oozy melted cheese to reinvent the humble Croque Monsieur. Despite stiff competition from leading Swiss and French fromagers, two English cheeses, Ogelshield and Montgomery Cheddar scored highest on flavour, aroma and overall meltiness. The result: a mouth-watering feast of bubbling golden cheesiness, béchamel sauce and cured Wiltshire ham (or delicious veggie mushroom) all finished with the secret ingredient: freshly grated spicy nutmeg. 

The new autumn / winter collection also includes an indulgent addition to its all day brunch menu: Brioche French Toastsmothered with either frosted berries or crispy bacon and maple syrup. The team has also created a range of winter warming dishes including Seasonal Soups,Vegetarian Chilli and a sumptuous Venison and cranberry stew bowls,both served with healthy brown rice. The new menu range will be available nationwide from 1st November 2019. 

Patisserie Valerie has also revealed the results of its first collaboration with Anges de Sucre’s Reshmi Bennett(star of Bake Off –The Professionals 2019) on their new autumn / winter patisserie collection. Patisserie Valerie will be launching four amazing new designs, crammed with bold winter flavours, in time for Christmas 2019: Winter Spiced Cheesecake, a wintery twist on the Patisserie Valerie classic with a biscuit crumb base using the patisserie’s topped with an orange and secret spice cream cheese, finished with golden candied pecans; two hand dipped eclairsin shocking pink raspberry and stunning green pistachio to brighten the darkest wintery day, and the Salted Caramel & Chocolate Bombean all butter chocolate pastry case, filled with luxury salted caramel and a rich dark chocolate ganache, topped with a chocolate cremeux dome coated in rich dark chocolate ganache, all finished with indulgent salted caramel Swiss meringue buttercream. The wintery cheesecake will be available as a whole cake to order at www.patisserie-valerie.co.ukand makes a superb alternative to a traditional Christmas fruitcake.

This is the second stage in the rebranding of Patisserie Valerie following their purchase by Causeway Capital and it will also see new look branding and packaging launching in 12 of their flagship stores at the end of the year with a planned roll-out across the rest of the company in 2020.
